The Bridgwater Czech Slovak Friendship Society was formed in 1991. Bridgwater was the first UK town to twin with a Czech/Slovak town after the Velvet Revolution. Today we not only have links with that town -UHERSKE HRADISTE - but also with many other Czech and Slovak towns such as Prague, Ceske Budejovice, Brno,Olomouc,and Poprad plus through Bridgwater International we now have links with other countries such as Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia plus our other twin town countries France and Germany.
